Long Term Athlete

Development Program

Long Term Athlete Development is a framework to train, educate, and assess all Irish dancers involved in the program. It guides dancers toward their own individual potential as a dancer, and towards an active and healthy lifestyle.

 

A joint training program

    • Schools will come together to share resources, train, educate, and be assessed

With a focus on

    • Skills training

    • Mental health and emotional well being

    • Overall physical fitness

Enabling all dancers of all ages to reach their full potential

    • Focus on what is best for the individual dancer throughout their life (over short-term gains/early success)

    • Appropriate training and competition at all ages

    • Program goal is to improve the overall quality of Irish dance and to develop healthy, active individuals for life
